Where Have I BEEN?!

Hi everyone. So sorry it's been so long since I've posted. I'm sorry to say that I have no pictures to post this time. I've become a real slacker in the picture department.

I won't even try to catch up on everything I've probably missed the past month. Today was Quinn's six month review with First Steps. We are going to pretty much keep everything as it's been. Gail (his physical therapist) has not ruled out the possibility that Quinn may need some help from orthotics eventually to help with his stability. For now we are going to continue to see how he does with increasing the strength in his legs and ankles and then go from there.

I called today to get an evaluation for Parker for speech therapy. I've always heard that when kiddos are working on big gross motor skills the speech kind of takes a backseat. I think that we can no longer use that excuse. Parker's been walking for quite a while now, and his speech hasn't really picked up. I think it's just time we get an ST out to see him. Quinn's language is coming along. He is definitely more interested in learning new words at this point. He will look right at and study you when you say something like he is trying to figure out how he can say it too!

We are gearing up for Thanksgiving around here! We are having it at our house again this year, and this time I'm having The Maids come the day before to clean. I'm pretty excited! It will just be nice to have them out to do all of the things that I never get around to. Who has time to dust around the pictures on the mantel? Please! Or clean the baseboards? Or dust off the ceiling fans? I'm lucky to keep the roof from falling down let alone worrying about all of those issues!

Jason and I are keeping busy (as if you were wondering about THAT!) Jason has decided to start finishing the basement, so that is the new big project around here. Don't remember if I mentioned that I'm going back to school for my BSN. I'm doing an online program, which so far has worked out really nicely. I'm able to work on my assignments after the boys go to bed at night. I was quite proud of my 292/300 on my paper! The eight points I was docked were all for APA formatting issues. I've never seen anything so nit picky in my life! I can't believe someone got paid to come up with THAT!

Tomorrow Jason is on call and works in the urgent care, which means that Saturday becomes like another day of the week for the boys and I. I'm quite excited that J's mom is going to watch the boys tomorrow for me, and I'm going to see the new Twilight movie with a girlfriend. I can NOT wait, and I'm even going to try to not feel too guilty for not being 'productive'! Don't get me wrong, I'm planning on coming home afterwards to pick up the house without the two tornadoes behind me dismantling everything I just picked up! We are having an old friend of mine and his wife over for dinner tomorrow night, so it might be nice if the house looked just a bit presentable!
