This weekend we finally had the bone age study performed that had been ordered for Quinn earlier this summer. I'd imagine we should have the results back tomorrow, hopefully. If the bone age is abnormal we will need to do further testing to see what is going on. An abnormal result will probably land us in an endocrinologist's office. Yippee! Speaking of doctors. Quinn has his developmental pediatrician appointment Thursday afternoon which I am fairly dreading. I can guarantee that she won't be satisfied with Quinn's weight gain, and she's really going to flip her lid when she finds out that I've completely cut the high calorie milk. I just really feel that loading him up on milk isn't the answer. Yes, he may gain weight but at what cost? He ends up drinking a large amount of his calories and then of course there's not to going to be much room left for eating. So, I guess if I choose between weight gain just for the sake of weight gain versus having room for food- I choose the latter. So- that begs the question if continuing with the dev ped even makes sense at this point if we have two completely different views on what we should be focusing on. There are never any easy answers. I'm due to see my rheumatologist coming up, and not a day too soon I might add. Saturday night/Sunday morning I got at most three hours of sleep. Good times. My left arm/hand was completely numb/tingly/painful because of carpal tunnel which is I'm sure as a result of my lovely RA/Lupus. So, I don't know if I need to give the Enbrel more time to work or what. During this time I'm also trying to wean off of Prednisone which I had to take while nursing D. It's the medication shuffle around here. At the rate I'm going I'll need to make myself a med sheet to keep track of it all. Aren't I too young for this crap? Not impressed.

It doesn't stop does it? I hope you had good results with Q. Have you considered switching the developmental pediatrician? We love Dr. Stanley. Maybe she'd be more willing to work with what you want.
