Arts & Crafts Day

Late last week I decided we'd have 'crafts' day (afternoon). It didn't last too long. As with most things involving kiddos this age, I spent more time setting everything up than we did on the actual activity!

Quinny and his Play-Doh. Last Wednesday at Newborn Follow Up Clinic the OT recommended showing the boys how to poke holes into Play-Doh. Sounds silly but I guess pointing starts with poking at things.

This was before Parker tried eating it.

All set up! They just look so studious sitting there, like they're really going to do some serious crafting!

Next I decided I'd tape a big piece of blank newspaper to the floor so we could try coloring with the Tadoodles. Hmm. The boys are just BUSY. They have no interest at this point in sitting and trying to make a mark on the paper. They thought it was mildly interesting when I'd show them how the crayons worked, but that was about it. As with the Play-Doh, they thought the crayons were for eating. They now have little teeth marks in them.

Here's what happened to the paper. Complete wild men. Notice how Parker's shirt is in his mouth as he's crawling along? Whatever!

The Aftermath. At least I tried right?!
