Trip to Monticello

The pictures below are from our trip to Monticello, IL to see our relatives, Roger and Edy.

We had a great time and the boys even got to go on their first train ride at the train museum. The boys did great with it. We were probably on the train for at least 40 minutes and they were so patient!

Since we were there on my birthday weekend I was sure to help myself to a new Vera Bradley bag as my birthday gift! :) Edy and I went to a cute little store called Wackie Knackies. So much cute stuff there.

The boys loved Roger and Edy's house. It is set up in a big circle so they were able to crawl round and round the house which they thought was pretty neat. They also loved all of the new things to touch (and attempt to destroy!) If I would have been thinking I would have taken their pictures in front of the old pinball and slot machines that they have in their basement. When I was little I used to think those were pretty much the coolest things ever. Roger did one of my eye surgeries when I was five, so we spent quite a bit of time there when I was younger.

You will never meet two sweeter people. Roger and Edy never get flustered by ANYthing! I guess when you've raised five boys what is left to get flustered about?! :)
