Library Trip

Today I decided that I needed to get the boys out of the house, so we went for a walk up to the library. It's so nice having the library within walking distance because it's a trip that's manageable by myself. I haven't been adventerous enough yet to take the boys anywhere on my own besides our parent's houses or our friends houses, i.e... places where I have an extra pair of hands if need be!

It's amazing how much you enjoy a simple trip to the library when you're at home all day! I packed a snack for myself and strapped the boys' diaper bag to the stroller and off we went!Speaking of libraries.. since when did they become a place for people to have conversations, play video games, listen to music? I walked with the boys over to the children's section and they actually have computers where the kids can play video games. Is it just me or is the library for reading?

Tomorrow I'm off to Goshen to get my hair cut and to spend some time with my parents. Jason is working late so it's a good excuse for Grandma and Grandpa to spend the day with us! The last time I had a hair cut I brought the boys with me. Thank goodness my sister cuts my hair..I ended up holding Quinn underneath the cape while Maria cut! I hope everyone had a great Father's Day. Ours was pretty low key.

Jason and Quinn..

We had been at my parent's house the day before so we just took it easy for most of the day. We did end up trekking out to Michigan City so that Jason could see his dad. Of course while we were there I felt the need to go to Lighthouse Place to pick up some khakis for the boys in the next size up. Did we make it to Carter's? No. Mommy and Daddy decided they needed new clothes instead... J. Crew was having a huge sale so Jason and I cleaned up.

As soon as Jason got home tonight I took off.. I needed some mommy time that didn't involve grocery shopping! Alison and I went out and grabbed some dinner at Hacienda. I also stopped at Wal-Mart and picked up the new Coldplay CD for Jason since I forgot to pick it up when I was out for groceries last night. I took the convertible out which was a bit chilly but fun anyway. We're thinking that we're going to probably get rid of it. We just don't have much use anymore for a two-seater! Also, the thing just isn't meeting my safety requirements! On the way to Hacienda there was a deer off to the side of the road. Convertible + deer = yikes.

I should probably scoot..the boys will probably be starting to wake up for their bedtime feeding. Right now Jason's napping with them on the couch. As of tonight he had yet to feed them bottles at the same time so I'll be curious to know if he mastered a new skill while I was gone!
