I am really getting behind!

I don't know why this wouldn't rotate. Grr... Oh well...just lay down on your side to look at it.

Don't feel like I have too much new news to report. Just the usual around here!
Last weekend I took the boys to mom and dad's to stay overnight. Maria and I were able to go out for a bit after they went down for the night, so that was nice!

This week Jason had his half day on Thursday, and then was off for the three day weekend. I was SO spoiled this week. I had a hair cut on Thursday afternoon, and on Friday I met two of my friends for some shopping. It was so nice to be able to browse and not feel rushed like I do when I have the boys with me. Thanks to my hubby!! :) Saturday we took the boys to the 4th of July parade and today we *attempted* to go to church.
I think J and I jinxed ourselves. We were sitting there talking about how we doubted we'd ever see the boys' names come up on the screen because they were inconsolable in the nursery. Literally 5 minutes later (if that) we see 'Quinn Ransom' pop up. So, downstairs I go to pick him up. He was just BESIDE himself. I don't know if the separation anxiety is starting to kick in or what, but he was NOT happy. I think maybe he realized all of a sudden that we weren't there. Also, we are having a bit of a rough time with teething. Quinn is always my little peanut with a bit of a short fuse, but lately he is happy one second and irritated the next. In his defense I think he's getting two molars in at once. Parker is also teething a bit, but not to the extent that poor Quinn is.
After church we went for some lunch where a mean lady proceeded to give us looks throughout our entire meal. Presumeably because Quinn tends to throw some of his food over the side of his high chair. Are you kidding me lady? If I had gotten one more 'look' from her I was going to ask her if I could help her with something. I was prepared to tell her if she had a problem with my children, who, in all honesty were not being loud, obnoxious, etc...that I had a problem with the ugly outfit she chose to wear in public. Can you tell I was completely irritated by this woman? Hmmm...not very church-like. It's good I just kept my mouth shut!
Moving on.
We have a busy next couple of weeks planned. J is on call tomorrow night and then has a Cubs game that he is going to with his brother on Tuesday. I'm hoping to take the boys to the farmer's market on Tuesday, and they have a play date on Wednesday. Friday Gail will be here for Quinn's First Steps therapy. We are really working on his sitting. He can sit just fine...with his legs straight out in front of him. Gail told us that by doing that he is compensating for a weak mid-section. So, during Sesame Street I work with him by having him sit on an exercise ball, and on the floor with his legs bent (which he doesn't care for..but the distraction helps).
We will be picking up our new puppy the first weekend of August...stay tuned for lots of pictures. The breeder named her Sally (as in Sally from the movie Cars) which we decided to stick with. Her 'official' name is Shaeward's Holy Porsche which I find funny! :) The whole litter is a 'Cars' theme. A couple of the puppies were born in the car on the way to the vet, hence the theme.

Sorry that this post is not very concise. I haven't posted in so long I'm just rambling as things come to mind!
I have a feeling Parker will be walking before we know it! Did I already mention that Quinn is pulling up on things now? Gail wants him to continue to work on his sitting/trunk strength as opposed to pulling up to stand. Reason being: she feels that once he starts standing he's NEVER going to want to just sit and play. As it is now he'd rather lay on his back when he wants to really examine something.
Oh! I forgot to mention that on Father's Day the boys had their baby dedication at church. Our new main blog picture is from that day. Mom and dad hosted a little party afterwards which was really nice.
Sorry that I have ZERO pictures from the 4th to post....except of a cake. BOO. I'm slacking. I must get better with the picture taking. Now, of course I feel like a bad mommy because now I have no pictures of the boys on their second 4th of July. :( I realized once we were at the parade that I had forgotten the camera. We didn't go to fireworks either. With it not getting dark until 10pm it just doesn't make sense since the boys go to bed at 7:30-8. We did get them up last night for a bit...Jason had his own fireworks show in the street in front of the house.
