Zoo Day

Today I took the boys to the zoo with Alison and her girls. The boys were great the entire time. I continue to be amazed that I can take them places for a couple of hours at a time and they hardly fuss. I decided I should just spring for the 'zoo pass'. I'm sure we'll be there more times than we can count with the boys over the next year.

Well, since they did so well at the zoo I thought I'd take them up to see Dad while he was getting his treatment. It's only about ten minutes from the zoo so I thought I'd press my luck. They did great! Mom and Dad were excited to see them and I think the other patients liked having a distraction too. Quinn as usual was a complete ham despite the fact that the time we were up there is usually naptime. Parker was interested but got sleepy and just wanted to snuggle.

In other news, we are now dog-less. We decided that Naomi just doesn't get enough attention around here now that the boys have more or less stolen the show. Also the relentless shedding was fine before we had kids that will be crawling around before we know it. We had placed an ad in the paper and by 9 this morning the phone was already ringing. I checked the messages on the way home today...19 messages! So, an older husband/wife took her home on a 'trial' basis. They came to check her out tonight and she just loved all of the attention. I will say that it's strange to not have a dog in the house.

Think that's it for now. Jason has a late day tomorrow so I'm planning on bringing the boys to his office for lunch. I'll try to post some new pictures from our cookout this past weekend with Dad, Mom and Maria soon.
