Labor Day Weekend Plans

Jason and I ended up going to Brewster's last night for my birthday dinner. It was SO good as usual! We also went to the outlet for a bit afterwards. I was able to find some cute 'mommy-friendly' shirts on sale at Banana Republic that were really cute. I have a lot of tops that are 'pre-boys' that just aren't so practical anymore! Jason was able to find some really nice linen pants at BR for around $10...can't beat that!

Once we got home we watched Obama's speech announcing that he was accepting the nomination. I will say he is a very good speaker. Sorry if you're a McCain backer..but what's with his random choice of that lady from Alaska? And he thought Obama had no experience...hmm.

Before we went to bed Jason asked me if I wanted my birthday present early. Well, I told him I thought the dining room set was supposed to be my birthday present... he informed me that's for the whole family so he got me something else as well. The other night when he was out with Damon for 'guy night' he stopped at Circuit City and got me a new (more portable) Nikon Coolpix camera!!! I had used my mom's and liked it a lot. I love my BIG SLR camera but this will be SO nice for trips out with the boys. I can just toss it in the diaper bag and go. Now I have no excuse for not posting lots of pictures! So, I was very pleasantly surprised. :) :)

I HAVE to remember to get pictures of the boys today since they're 7 months old. On second thought maybe I'll wait and get their pictures one day late. Today we're having a lazy day. They're both still in PJ's! For some reason today I have ZERO energy.

Johna may come home for part of the weekend and stay with us, which will be fun. She claims she needs to 'get out of Muncie' for a bit. She was there all summer for class so I don't really blame her. I think she's ready to graduate! Grandma and Grandpa are planning on coming out on Monday from Illinois. I'm sure we'll trek over Mom and Dad's direction to see them with the boys since Jason's off that day.

Maria left for Florida today so we are dog-sitting Cricket. She'll be back on Wednesday and I'm sure by that time Cricket will have had enough of the boys. It's looking like Gustav is not going to hit Florida after all. I was kind of nervous for her there for a bit.

At some point I need to trek out to Target to get a new camera case and memory card for the camera. But, that requires looking presentable and I'm just not sure I'm up to the task today! I'll be sure to post pictures from this weekend.
