In My Little World 50% No Longer Means an 'F' and Other Random Thoughts

Hi all! I have both boys sleeping for a nap! Yes, it is amazing. I may actually have my afternoons back to get things done around here. Quinn is in his crib napping, no fuss. Parker is in the swing. He just won't nap in his crib anymore. At least 1 of 2 is in their crib. See what I mean about 50%? I suppose this would be a lesson in picking my battles!

Now I can rush around the house trying to restore some semblance of organization around here. This house was never such a mess prior to having two kids to take care of. Hey, you do what you can right? I just don't like piles. One of my big pet peeves.

We took the boys out to Babies R Us last night. There was a coupon in the Sunday paper for their baby food, so we stocked up. I also broke down and bought a can of formula to help me out. Now that the boys are eating so much cereal it's hard for me to pump enough to mix with it. This way I can combine some formula with the milk. I'm doing the best I can but a dairy cow I am not.
I should run so that I can actually get my hair looking halfway decent. I love this new haircut, but in order for it to look right I have to flat iron it. At least I put some makeup put on...yes, it is almost 2 in the afternoon. Blah, oh well. Last weekend Maria was here while I was getting ready for the NICU reunion. She was making fun of me for the harried way I apply makeup. I told her at this point in my life putting on makeup and just getting ready for the day in general is a necessary evil, no longer something I enjoy. In the back of my head I know I'm racing the meltdown/mommy needed timer!

Here are some more pictures of the boys after we ran up the road to buy some hay bales and more pumpkins. Notice how lovely my children's outfits look. It ended up getting really warm that day and I had them way overdressed. Somehow this is how they ended up! :)

They are WAY too cute Rachel! I can't imagine having two the same age! But how fun! I felt so busy with just one! Hayden was never/isn't a good napper and forget the crib for him! I don't know how some mom's just can have a child that always naps/sleeps in their crib! We're having the WORST time with Hayden wanting to sleep with us STILL! And the dairy cow thing...TOTALLY remember that with him, he didn't have any formula until he was 10 months old and man thats all I felt like I did! Now Emerson's almost here and I'll be doing it all over again! The things us mother's do for our children!!!

If it makes you feel any better (because it totally made me feel better), I've yet to meet a mom of twins who didn't use formula at SOME point in the first year. And I take it you feed them Earth's Best judging from the coupon comment. If you call them and tell them you have twins, they send you a whole envelope full of "free item" coupons. They don't expire for like, a year. And good for you for even putting make up on. I need to figure out a quick routine because after no sleep, I look really freakin' scary with only moisturizer, mascara, and lip gloss. Hello Zombie Mommy!
