Parker and Quinn Meet Dr. Meekhof!

First and foremost...the boys are 9 months old today! Where has the time gone? I'm becoming really nostalgic about how fast they're 'growing up'. Sometimes it just makes me want to cry thinking about it! I look back to where we started from and am amazed at how far we've come.

Now Auntie Maria can say she's in more than one picture on the blog! With Quinn at Max and Erma's

Mommy and Parker

Today I had my check-up with Dr. Meekhof. Maria and I took the boys along (as if we had some other option!), and they were able to meet their very first doctor! Of course they 'met' him the minute they were born, but I wanted to get a picture of him holding both of the boys. Normally I would have gotten a picture of him with the boys after they were born, but that wasn't possible in our case. He was so excited to see them and just got a big kick out of them. He took Parker and wandered out into the hallway with him to 'show him off'! :) He was sure to tell me twice to send him one of the pictures. He's such a nice guy. We've been fortunate to have really great doctors.

Dr. Meekhof with Parker (L) and Quinn (R). Like the hats? Some old lady at Max and Erma's thought they were cat hats. Hello?? It's an OWL!

Speaking of doctors... Dr. Degeneffe called today regarding Parker's report that I had received in the mail from his Newborn Follow-Up Clinic visit. I don't know if I had mentioned in a previous post that the report I received covered issues that weren't discussed during the actual appointment which frustrated me. Long story put short, she said that she misunderstood the Physical Therapist who did the eval. and she does NOT feel that Parker has a motor delay as was written. Even if that had been the case, we are so fortunate to have been blessed with such healthy babies as early as they were. She is going to send out a revised report. Regardless, the eval with First Steps stands just to make sure no services are needed.

Think that's it for now. I'm thinking of taking the boys to Target just to get those cheesey 'portrait studio' pictures done of them in their hedgehog Halloween costumes. Stay tuned!
