Today has been a crazy, busy day.
I took the boys to the store. We didn't get groceries this weekend, so I packed them up and we went today. I had one hundred dollars worth of groceries hanging from the stroller handles, shoved underneath the seats and precariously balanced on top of the stroller visor. I read in one of my magazines that my stroller is the top rated twin stroller. They didn't mention how utilitarian it is. By the time we were ready to check out it was kind of rolling funny. I think it was a bit overloaded. Luckily I remembered to take the grocery bags off of the handles prior to unloading one of the boys. One time I didn't think about it and the stroller went flying backwards because the handles were so weighed down. Eek.
Speaking of the grocery store. I ran into a nurse that I used to work with when I was working on the postpartum unit. I mentioned to her that I had just been thinking about them and how I would love to work there again on a PRN basis. She is now a charge nurse and said that she will pass along my information to the director! Keep your fingers crossed! PRN requirements are perfect..just two shifts every six weeks. I told her that no matter where/if I get a job my main priority is to be home with the boys. I just want something so that I can 'play nurse' again once in a while! The shift would be from 1-7, which would be awesome. There'd be a tiny chance I'd even get home in time to help get the boys to bed. So, we'll see!
Last night we took the boys to their first baseball game. It was dollar night, so we figured we didn't have anything to lose if they got antsy/threw fits. They both did great! The rest of the week is busy. I'm kind of glad that the start of Kindermusik got pushed back one week. Otherwise, Thursday would have been class in the morning for the boys and a baseball game for Jason and I in the evening. Friday we have a three hour drive (at least) to visit our relatives in Illinois for the weekend.
I'm thinking it's going to be an early bedtime tonight. It's almost four and I still hear the boys jibber-jabbering. They went down late for a nap...
I will post picutres in a separate post later on tonight.
