Some new updates.
Saturday we had swim lessons at the Y for the fourth week. Next week is the last class and I'm a bit disappointed that it won't really be a class at all. We were told the last week will just be 'open swim'. I kind of feel like if it was advertised as a five week class it'd be nice if all five weeks were actual classes. Oh well, Iguess. As Jason pointed out, it's not like we can't re-create what we do in class at open swim if we want.
I guess I should back track to last Wednesday. The boys had their 18 month well-baby visit. This was the first time I took them for a well-baby check by myself. It really wasn't bad at all. I think the nurse was prepared! She and the medical assistant were both there to help me get the boys undressed, etc. Quinn weighs 18 pounds and Parker is 22 pounds, 9 ounces. The doctor wasn't concerned about Quinn's weight. He says his growth curve is just fine, if we just bumped it up onto the chart it would be just how a growth curve should look...it's just not on the chart (as usual)! :)
Sally continues to settle into her new home. I received a voicemail and e-mail from her breeder. Apparently two of the puppies from her litter were found to have Hookworm. She has used a different type of wormer and apparently the dogs spit it out. This meant I had to run poop into the vets office Saturday morning before swim. I left explicit directions to call me with results and leave a message as we wouldn't be home. Of course they call and leave me a message to call back-no results. Grr!! So, I call back this morning and guess who has Hookworms? Yes, it's Sally. DISGUSTING. Luckily the treatment is simple. I had to give her medication this morning and then again in three weeks. I had to pack the boys up this morning (and Sally) and head over to the vet to pick up the meds due to them needing to know her weight. If I would have been thinking I would have gotten on the scale with her, and then by myself and letting them know the difference. I could have avoided taking her along this way, but oh well. The good news is that maybe she won't be so skittish when she goes back for her check-up on Thursday.
Of course, BEFORE we can leave for the vet I decide I'll go out into the mulch to pick up poop. Jason told me the 'general' area of where she had pooped. Instead of finding it, I step in it. Nice. I realize this AFTER the fact and thankfully BEFORE getting into the car. So, now there is poop on the driveway. So, once we get home I drag the hose through the garage to spray off poop. I wonder how much of my day I spend dealing with poop, whether it be the baby or dog variety?
Did I mention that on Friday literally ten minutes before Gail was to be here for Quinn that the kitchen faucet came apart from the extendable hose? Well, it did. This means that water SPRAYED across the kitchen hitting me in the face, the pillar in the dining room and getting the dining room table a bit wet. The floor was soaked. Lucky for that pillar, otherwise the table would have been soaked. Did I also mention that the boys' baby albums were on that table? I would have been BESIDE myself! You can bet those albums have since been moved! The boys were still in their high chairs from lunch- you should have seen the look on Quinn's face!
Think that's about it for now. It's 10 PM which means my brain is about fried for the day!
