Family Truckster and Other News

Talk about getting behind here! I need to catch things up...

Our first trip out of town without the boys was just fine. The boys were no worse for the wear thanks to Grandma, Grandpa and Auntie Maria. I had a hard time getting out of the house without crying but I managed (just barely)! We had a great time at the concert...great seats! John Mayer was really good. We didn't get to see much of Brett Dennen though, his set was pretty short. Can I just tell you that Jason and our friend Damon were SO excited. John Mayer played some 80's big hair band song/cover during his encore. Oh, they were just in their element. I guess it's called 'Panama'?? Alison and I were like... 'what in God's name is this?' They could've just broken out the long ratty hair, white trash firebird complete with bird painted on the hood and T-tops and they would've been all set.

Moving on...I've been really bad about getting pictures lately. I must improve! I have no pictures from the concert and also no pictures from the boys' first fair experience. I ended up leaving the camera in the car by accident at the fair and I was surely not trekking back to get it with the double stroller! Maria and I took the boys on Wednesday, the weather was perfect for it!

In other news... Parker rolled over for the first time on the 25th that I've seen (he rolled over once at night in his sleep). I did manage to get that on camera! Quinn's starting to laugh..he's got this 'huh huh' he does..it's really comical. The boys had shots on Thursday. Ready for the weight update? Parker was 10lbs 1.5ozs, Quinn was 10lbs 5.5ozs!! Can you believe it? They've come a long way and I couldn't believe that Quinn now outweighs his brother!! Dr. Hudson saw us in the hallway and commented that they have really lost their 'preemie look'.

We also have officially become owners of the 'family truckster'. Jason and I decided after our last trip to Muncie that we needed to break down and do something about our vehicle situation. The Touareg was fine but a real pain when I had to deal with the boys in the backseat. So, we are now the owners of a new Honda Odyssey! Oh man....but it's going to be SO much easier.

I was kind of sad to give up the Touareg. We brought the boys home from the hospital in that car. I went into the hospital in that car when this whole crazy adventure started. We made many trips back and forth to see the boys. Many early memories of the boys are tied up in that thing! It seems silly to be sentimentally attached to a car but I was! We also got rid of the convertible...it just wasn't practical anymore. It would have been different if it wasn't a two seater. Also, I just was feeling unsafe driving it. How things change once you have kids!

This evening we have big plans to get the boys' six month pictures taken at the beach..looking forward to that..Heather always does an awesome job.

Daddy wanted this picture so in the future he can say: 'look what I gave up for you boys!'

Last time with the Touareg! I won't miss the premium gas!

Story time with Daddy. This had started out as tummy time but you know how that goes.

Quinn enjoying his story from Daddy.

Mr. Cool!

Quinn looking JUST like his cousin Kelsey in this picture!!
