Today we are recuperating from our weekend trip to Muncie. We left Saturday morning (before 10!) and were able to get to Johna's without much trouble at all. We stopped in Auburn to feed/change the boys and to get them out of their car seats for a bit. The rest of the trip there was pretty uneventful. I had to venture into the backseat for the last 25 minutes or so. I think the boys were getting bored!

After being at Johna's apartment for a bit, we took the boys for a walk around campus. It was HOT. We ended up staying at the hotel on campus which was nice since it was literally across the street from Johna's apartment. We had a nice surprise for dinner. Johna and Joel had suggested a place called Vera Mae's in downtown Muncie (veramaes.com). Apparently the owners live above the restaurant and their home was featured on HGTV! Anyway, we had a nice meal and at the end found out that Joel had paid for our dinner! Totally unnecessary but appreciated nonetheless. After dinner we went back to the hotel (Johna and Joel had been watching the boys!) and played Scrabble. I lost. Boo.
The drive back home was a bit more drawn out than the trip there. The boys were not pleased to be in their car seats again. We left Joel's house around 1:15 after getting breakfast and checking out his place, and were home by about 6:15. Ack. We stopped in some tiny place called Ashley to change Quinn. Stopped in Angola to feed them both and walk around a bit at the outlet to give them a chance to get out of their seats (and for Jason to get a new 'work' belt from Coach). Then stopped somewhere between Angola and Middlebury at the rest stop to feed them both AGAIN. It seems that they've been eating more often today as well. I have a feeling we'll be starting rice cereal sooner than later. In a way I'm glad but in a way I'm sad. It means they're getting to be big boys!
I didn't really get any pictures of campus. It was too hot for me to care. Here are some pictures from Johna and Joel's first foray into babysitting the boys!
Joel getting the hang of Quinn..I assume this was pre-meltdown!
Johna with Parker the next morning before breakfast...lucky for them he slept the entire time they were babysitting so they only had Quinn's fussing to deal with!
