This morning Jason and I took the boys on a stroller ride up to the library. Every Friday at 10 they have a Lap Sit program where they have play time for a bit and then read a book and sing songs. It's supposed to be for 6 months on up, but I read to the boys at home all the time and sing them little songs and they seem to get a big kick out of it, so we thought we'd give it a try. It was a huge success! They were so attentive the whole time! Today's theme was about ducks so we read a duck book, sang a duck song, and also sang a song that incorporated their names into it. They were both just smiling and looking around. It was so cute!
The boys are both napping right now while daddy gets the patio furniture out of the shed. We figured we should probably get it out now that the deck is stained before the whole summer flies by without using it. If you're wondering how I got so lucky to have Jason off the whole day... we're going to Tinley Park for a concert tonight with Johna, Joel, Alison and Damon and STAYING OVER NIGHT! My parents along with Maria are coming over to stay with the boys. Although I know they'll be fine I'm kind of nervous and sad to leave them. This will be our first night away since they've been home! I think it will be harder on me than it will be on the boys. :)
I think that's it for now. I need to get some things done around here before we leave this afternoon. I'll be sure to post some pictures of our first big trip away without the kiddos!
