From Thanksgiving to Christmas Trees

Never a dull moment around here! Thanksgiving was great and we think that everyone had a good time and got plenty to eat. The amount of food was just obscene! I was so busy that despite my promises in the last blog, didn't get a single picture on my camera. :( Mom has plenty on hers, but for some reason I can't get her camera card to load onto my computer. I'll have to take it to CVS, get a photo CD, and then hopefully I can get some pictures posted here.

Grandma and Grandpa stayed overnight with us which gave us some extra time to visit with them. Plus, they were able to spend more time with the 'little people'. Speaking of the little people...Quinn and Parker did great at Thanksgiving. They definitely got plenty of attention! It was nice to be at home so that when naptime rolled around I just took them upstairs and put them down in their own beds. I had hoped to see more of Johna and Joel..we had planned to go shopping Thanksgiving night at the outlet, but by the time 8:30 rolled around I was TIRED. Forget about going out at midnight. We'll be sure to spend more time with them when they're home for Christmas break. It's just a lot harder now that we have two kiddos to take care of to get out and do things like we used to. Imagine that!

This weekend and Friday Jason's been on call and working in the urgent care. (Yuck) Luckily this next month he doesn't think he's on call a single weekend (Yea!) Once he got home last night we got the boys loaded up and went for our Christmas tree. The boys' first!! We scaled back a bit this year and got a 8 foot tree. I think the years of 12 foot trees are over for awhile! Alison and Damon offered us their truck which was nice. We didn't have to worry about tieing the tree to the top of the Family Truckster...although that would have been quite Nat'l Lampoon's of us! :)

Mommy and Parker

I just love Quinn's hands in this picture...

and this one!

As for the coming week... not much is planned. Jason has no late night (5-9) urgent care shifts which I'm grateful for. It makes for a long day for both of us! We do have Parker's PT eval scheduled for Thursday, so I'll let you know how that goes. Should be interesting. Maria works that day and the appointment is in the morning (Jason has Thurs. afternoons off) so I'm on my own hauling both kids there. We'll just be sure to leave in plenty of time! Luckily they're both pretty good at this age about being entertained by just looking at things so Quinn should be ok while they're doing Parker's eval... Can't believe the boys are 10 months old already!!!

We're 10 months old and we're SILLY!

Jason getting the hang of the new snowblower. Notice how there's no snow? It was also 10 at night. I'm sure the neighbors LOVE us!

Quinn checking out (tearing up) the Sears ad. Check out that skunk hair!

Jason's really thinking... 'please stop tearing up my ad.'
