Busy Weekend

Hello Hello everyone! We had a fun and busy weekend. Friday our new furniture came in! Jason and I spent the evening after the boys went to bed getting the china cabinet all arranged. We finally were able to get many of our wedding gifts out on display. The good news is that I freed up some space in the kitchen cabinets by getting four place settings of our china out. It looks really nice!

Saturday I ventured out to Goshen for my hair appointment with Maria. Daddy stayed home with the boys which was nice because I was getting my hair trimmed and colored. Of course I had to get my eyebrows waxed too..and Maria insisted that my lip also needed help. So why not..let's wax that too...it burns like FIRE. Anyway, that combination of things with the boys along is just a recipe for disaster! Prior to me leaving at 11 we managed to get the boys fed and bathed. Jason took them on a long walk while I was gone, fed them another time and got them down for their naps. When I got home they were still asleep. After they woke up we went out to Babies R Us, Old Navy and Bed Bath and Beyond. We also managed to go to Outback for dinner prior to the ND game crowd! We're already thinking about the next car seats we're going to need for the boys. Those suckers are expensive! The one we're looking at is good up to 65 (!) pounds, so at least the next one we buy will be the LAST. Oh, I was so excited...here's what I bought at Bed Bath and Beyond...

The 'corn stripper'!

The 'herb mincer'!I forgot to mention that on the way home from Goshen I stopped at Sweet Corn Charlie's to pick up some corn to cook and freeze for winter and some peaches. I swear I haven't had a good peach from the grocery store this summer.

We found some cute hats for the boys at Old Navy. We also found a shirt on clearance that we have one of, but now the boys can match and some socks to match their Halloween shirts. These hats looked so cute on with the boys' big eyes!

Yesterday after we took the boys on a walk, Jason left for work in the Urgent Care. While on our walk we met a couple that moved in up the street that has boy/girl twins! Their kids are three, but the mom stays at home so we talked about getting together. I ended up taking the boys into Michigan City after their afternoon nap and we stopped by Jason's work so that the nurses could see the boys. After Jason got off of work we went to his mom and dad's house. Lately each time we've been over his dad has been at work but last night he was off and able to see the boys.

In case you wanted to know...this was right about the time Quinn finally decided to make a huge mess in his pants. The kid had been grunting and groaning all day. Such effort I tell ya!

Jason works late tonight and Wednesday so it could be a long week! Hope everyone is having a good Monday.
