Doctor's Visit

Today the boys had their appointment at the doctor's office just for shots at 4:45. We usually schedule their well-baby visits for the first spot after lunch to avoid the doctor getting behind. It was nice to go in the late afternoon, parking was a breeze!

Parker is officially 10lbs 14 3/4 ozs. Quinn has become our big boy and weighs in at 12lbs 2 1/4 ozs! They did great with their shots. We were smart this time and pre-medicated them with Tylenol prior to leaving the house.

In keeping with his reputation as being our little monkey (he loves to be held close to your chest and kind of clings there) Parker has taken quite a liking to bananas!

I got these monkey outfits for the boys from Crazy 8! They're supposed to be for girls..I don't know why..they're brown and cream colored. I think they're so cute!!

I broke the rules today and introduced two new foods. They both have had sweet potatoes three days in a row so I figured we'd add peas to the mix for dinner. Anyway, Quinn was NOT a fan of the bananas AT ALL. He barely ate any of his cereal this morning because I had the bananas mixed in with it. I learned my lesson for the peas! I kept them separate, but they both loved them! What kind of kid likes peas but not bananas? I'm not complaining!

Seems to be Quinn's favorite so far!

Parker's favorite BY FAR..I couldn't spoon it in fast enough!!

Not much else to report. Not looking too forward to this weekend. Jason works Friday, Saturday and Sunday in the Urgent Care from 1-6 and he's on call. Monday he also works late from 4-8. Yuck, yuck and yuck. I'm planning on taking the boys to the Fall Festival so that we have at least one activity planned for this weekend. The good news is that Jason has lots of time off next week for his conference (aka mini-vacation).

Yes, the liquid lard does tend to make monster babies apparently. I'm so sorry to hear about your dad, but it sounds like if it's his last round he's kicking its ass, right? Of course he is! I've never known your dad to take any crap from anything. My boys were 4 lbs. 10 oz. and 4 lbs. 15 oz. at 33 weeks. Creighton had to go in the other day to have a check on his GERD issue and see how the zantac was helping and he's now at 13 lbs. CRIPES. I don't know if you know about all the twins freebies you can get, but there's a crap load out there. Your Earth's Best pic reminded me. We just got 6 coupons from there for free babyfood or other products that they make and a bunch of other coupons for like, $1 off 6 jars and stuff like that. Gerber and Beechnut sent us a bunch of stuff like that too. All you have to do is call them and ask about their multiple program.
