Happy Birthday My Babies!

Thought I'd add a quick post before Parker and Quinn's first birthday is officially over with.

As I've said before, I can't believe how fast the past year has just flown by. All day long today I was thinking about what I was doing at the same time last year. We just put the boys back to bed after getting them up for one last quick feeding for the night. I was thinking how last year Jason had the camcorder in the NICU while I lay in bed zoned out on Phenergan! What a difference a year makes. At that point we had two tiny babies on CPAP, one bruised, both retracting, both terrifying. Now we have two 'big boys' who tried peanut butter for the first time tonight. I still remember after they were both home and Jason was back to work- everyday wondering if I was going to somehow be able to care for them both and make it through the day in one piece!

I will say that while I'm over the moon with how well the boys are doing, I'm also horribly sentimental about how big they're getting. I know the next year is going to bring so many fun times with them, but it's still a bit bittersweet.

I'll wrap this up for now. Will post pictures and more about the boys' big day tomorrow. Just wanted to reflect a bit on the past year.
